Research
Research occupies a central role of the BFTI Activities. The major objective of research activities is to serve the requirements of the Government, trade and industry through both self-initiated and sponsored research. Since the changing world trading environment increasingly impinges upon both domestic and international trade of Bangladesh, the major focus of the BFTI is to conduct research on multilateral, regional and bilateral trade arrangements, and their impact on the economy of Bangladesh. Although trade policy analysis is the main focus of the research works of the BFTI, it also undertakes industry or sector studies as required, as well as research on broader issues that have implications for economic growth and welfare.
