Bangladesh Foreign Trade Institute (BFTI) organized a Public Consultation on the study titled “Exploring the Export Potential of the IT-Enabled Services (ITES) from Bangladesh” under Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division, held at the BFTI Conference Room at Karwan Bazar, Dhaka on 30 July 2025.

Mr. Md. Abdur Razzak (Additional Secretary), Chief Executive Officer (CEO), BFTI, graced the event as the Chief Guest and Mr. Muhammad Anwar Uddin, Additional Secretary (ICT Promotion & Research Wing), Information and Communication Technology Division, attended the program as a Special guest.

Mr. Ahsanul Islam, Joint Director, BFTI, delivered welcome remarks. A keynote presentation on the draft report was delivered by Mr. Sultan Mahmud, Junior Trade Expert of the study and Research Associate (SPS-TBT), BFTI. 

The workshop was followed by an interactive Q&A session moderated by Mr. Rashedul Kabir, Trade Expert of the Study and Research Manager (Academic Affairs), BFTI. 

A total 22 participants of the esteem organizations from Ministry of Commerce, National Board of Revenue (NBR), Bangladesh Bank, Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC), Information and Communication Technology Division, Posts and Telecommunications Division (PTD), National Skills Development Authority (NSDA) Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority, Kaliakoir Hi-Tech Park,  Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS), Bangladesh Association of Contact Center and Outsourcing (BACCO), Policy Research Institute of Bangladesh (PRI), Bangladesh Freelancing Development Society (BFDS), e-Commerce Association of Bangladesh (e-CAB), Bangladesh Institute of ICT in Development (BIID), Business Initiative Leading Development (BUILD), Shooting Star Ltd., and Leads Corporation Limited, shared their thoughtful views and opinions at the event.
